With guests coming from a mix of religions and cultures, my husband and I were nervous about how to be inclusive while remaining true to Islamic ceremony. We cannot emphasize how integral Imam Shair was in making this happen. Imam Shair spoke to the similarities of Christianity and Islam in an eloquent speech that bridged the families, and crafted unique vows for my husband and I that had everyone both crying and laughing. He even had all the non-Muslim guests learning and repeating some Arabic - Asshadu! The ceremony absolutely set the mood for the rest of the wedding day and we cannot thank Imam Shair and MWS enough for providing this service for us.

The ceremony was amazing and completely rewarding. Sally and I were lucky to have Mohamed Hussein officiate the ceremony. He was humble, thoughtful, and caring. Many of my non-Muslim family members expressed their praise for what Mohamed had to say and how it connected to their own lives—regardless of religious denomination. Likewise, Mohamed’s willingness to translate the sayings and prayers into English provided a cooperative environment in which everyone felt a part of the ceremony.
